2-3 Weeks Prior to Moving
People move from one residence to the next for a certain reason. Two or three weeks are ample time to make the right preparations. You do not want to rush the last minute and in the due course make some mistake or leave some details out. That is why you will come up with a good plan on how to about the whole issue of moving. While for many is a completely new experience, others many be caught between mixed reactions of anxiety and impatient. With two to three weeks prior moving, you will need to start shopping for large bags, sizeable cartons, stickers to label the package. All these are necessary and will greatly help the movers at the time of loading and offloading the truck. The commonplace reasons why most people move from one house to the next include; a sense of insecurity, poor infrastructure like bad roads lack of enough water in your house. Relocation from one state to the next, one country to the other, moving in from a smaller house to a better house in terms of facilities and cost, others move due to change of work place. For whatever reasons of moving, it is better to stay in the plan. The most common is start packing for the items. Give the priority to the items you use very frequently meaning you have to separate the thing to take and the ones you do not need anymore. You can pack your own belongings but if you are stuck, you might need the help from the packers who will do a clean job as they have special skills in that field of moving people. For convenience, all packed items have to be clearly marked using the stickers. Mark clearly on the side of the bag or box what is packed. This is not necessary to mark visible items like seats, gas cookers, dining sets, beds refrigerator and tables. Most common items to be labeled include the kitchen items, toilet, and bathrooms. You will need to pack your valuable yourself. Things like monies, jewelry, and other important documentations needs special care as they are personal and hence it is wise for you hand move them to the new house. Pack the flowerpots, if you have excess baggage like clothes, furniture and even television set, you donate them to a charity as they might only use the space of your new house and you do not need them anymore. Return movies and books to the library and then contact your movers to reconfirm that everything is right on schedule. At this point, you have a common settlement on how to pay them. Whatever means of payment they prefer, cash immediately after delivery, by cheque or by credit card be prepared in with their payments. Before you move, it is now the last time to visit your new house to make sure everything is working normally. If there are cracks, roof leakages, you carry on with repairs, or contact the property owner incase it is a rental house. You can paint the walls if necessary to improve the looks of your new house, prepare the flowerbeds, and make sure the back yard has no overgrown vegetation. Once you are contented that everything is functioning accordingly then you have no other business but to prepare for the big day and then very comfortably move in.
